Documentation of THEY CAME FROM THE DINNER TABLE (2022) installation.

This work uses an archive of 1950s American etiquette films combined with distorted audio of gulping, chewing, gnawing, and food preparation to create a vision of giant masticating monsters outside of the gallery window. The piece, especially in the title, references B-horror films and the classic “monster beyond the window” scene as an exploration of my own anxieties around food and dining experiences as someone with severe life-threatening food allergies.
