DOUBLE FEATURE stiches together large format photographs with a suspenseful score building to nothing. Each frame is a reference to a horror film, suggested in the still images’ titles, recreated using food, cake, corn meal, brown sugar, frosting, and various greens. The work, here documented in the UCLA New Wight Gallery, is a continuing dialog in creating installations depicting the anxieties of severe food allergies, always vigilant and waiting for an invisible evil to invade the frame.
